Janet Hilliard has taught students from kindergarten to post-secondary level in a career that has spanned 35 years and three provinces.  For more than a decade, she has pursued her special interests in student success, academic advising and career development.  She is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, the Ontario Association of Advising Professionals, and the Ontario School Counsellors Association.

With so many post-secondary possibilities available in Ontario and so little time available for individual guidance counselling in high school, students and parents are often left to figure it all out on their own.  Ready to Launch:  Navigating the Transition from High School to Post-Secondary Life – A Guide for Ontario Students and Families was written as a tool to aid students in exploring potential career directions and to clarify the process of applying and preparing for post-secondary.
